On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment was added to the US Constitution. To help celebrate the centennial of women’s constitutional right to vote, we will highlight the activists who joined and led the long battle for women’s suffrage.

Susan B. Anthony was involved in the abolition and temperance movements. Denied a chance to speak at a temperance convention, she dedicated her life to the cause of women's equality. In 1869, Anthony worked with Elizabeth Cady Stanton to form the National Woman Suffrage Association.
