Wilton Protests Child Separation Immigration Policy

On June 30th, Wilton residents attended rallies across the state to stand up for families separated by Trump’s immigration policy of separating migrant children from their parents once in the United States. He recently signed an executive order backpedaling on this policy, though confusion remains about how families will be reunited.

One of many protest sites across the country, the Greenwich rally was attended by Senator Richard Blumenthal who spoke about his recent visit to a children’s detention center at the border, Ross Tartell, candidate for the State Representative for CT 125th and a group of Wilton residents. Wilton residents also rallied in Wilton Center, and other rallies were held in Hartford, Stamford, New Haven and other locales around the state.
