The Wilton Democratic Town Committee (DTC) “Listen to Wilton” Platform is due for a tune up. The platform is amended and voted on biennially. Before the 2017-2019 platform is ratified, two public meetings will be held in order to to give Wilton Democrats an opportunity to offer suggestions and modifications to the 2015-2017 platform, which focused on fiscal responsibility, town character, and education, all of which the DTC believes strives for ‘quality of life’ in Wilton. We encourage community involvement by inviting all Wilton democrats to attend the meetings and have their voice heard, even if they are not members of the DTC. After amendments to the platform are discussed at the public meetings, Ernie Ricco, Platform Committee Chair, will compile the amendments into a draft of the Wilton Democratic “Listen to Wilton” Platform 2017-2019. The DTC will seek to approve the platform in order for it to be ratified at the annual Democratic Caucus on Wednesday, July 19. (Update: please note the date change!) Ernie requests that Wilton Democrats, WDTC Members, and especially Elected & Appointed Democrats, please respond via EMAIL to RiccoEnt@aol.com with Deletions, Additions and Modifications to the attached Wilton Democratic “Listen to Wilton” Platform 2015-2017 document. Ernie will then submit the Wilton Democratic “Listen to Wilton” Platform 2017-2019 DRAFT to the WDTC via email prior to the June 6th WDTC meeting.
All Wilton Democrats are welcome to attend the Caucus at which the final platform will be ratified and we will endorse our democratic candidates for the November 2017 municipal elections.
