Tomorrow, my colleagues and I will be voting on a vitally important police accountability bill. The bill isn’t perfect, but in the course of this two-year term, I haven’t voted on one that is. That said, I've been seeing a LOT of misconceptions about it on social media — some innocent, and some intentionally misleading.
So, I thought I'd clear things up and explain this bill for what it is: a moderate, common sense step towards equal treatment under the law for everyone.
