Known as Family Bridge, this pilot program aims to ease transition from hospital to home for the parents of newborn babies by giving these families the option of having a nurse or community health worker visit their homes in the immediate days and weeks following birth. It is offered to all families at no cost and there’s no eligibility criteria to apply.

During National Volunteer Month, we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on Connecticut's Student Loan Reimbursement Pilot Program! Going into effect this July, this initiative not only encourages volunteerism but also supports our dedicated volunteers by helping alleviate student loan burdens. It's a win-win for community service and financial relief.
Let's celebrate the power of giving back and the impact it has on both individuals and communities! 🌟 #NationalVolunteerMonth #StudentLoanRelief

One of the best parts of my job is working with bright young people from across our community. I'm pleased to offer a stipend to ease the financial burden of interning on Capitol Hill named for a true public servant who was taken too soon, Kevin Sutherland. I encourage college students and recent graduates with a penchant for public service to apply for my internship program and the KJS scholarship!
The deadline for my summer internship program is this Friday, April 5th.
