About Savet Constantine

Learn about My Priorities

My priorities are ensuring our schools’ excellence and student safety, protecting women’s reproductive freedom, enhancing services for seniors, making our state more affordable, boosting business opportunities and growth, and continuing to cut taxes. I bring to the table my depth of experience volunteering in the schools, recruiting skilled and dedicated residents to serve on our town boards, and my personal experience navigating the issues confronting seniors and eldercare.

As a problem-solver and dedicated community advocate, I care for my community. I want to see our towns thrive, and I am prepared to serve and champion our community in Hartford. I want to get things done and done correctly.

Learn about My Experience

I am a community leader, former marketing executive, wife, and mother running as a Democrat to be the next State Representative for the 42nd district comprising Wilton, part of New Canaan, and part of Ridgefield. As a former PTA president at the Wilton Public Schools and a leader at the PTA Council, I understand the powerful impact an engaged community member can have. I will fight for our community, just as I did for our kids in the schools.

Culminating my fifteen years of volunteering with the PTAs, and the last five years as PTA president in the middle school and high school, I promoted district wide initiatives and programs with my focus on the education budget along with student artistic and literary achievement.  I also coordinated volunteers for school and district events, and I developed a special focus on facilitating communication between parents and school administration through organizing curriculum information events and acting as a point of contact for parents with questions on school-related matters.

Wilton High School PTSA: President 2016-2019, Secretary 2014-2016

Middlebrook PTA: President 2013-2015, Parent-at-Large 2011-2013

Wilton PTA Council: Reflections Program Chair 2011-2014, Vice President of Budget 2008-2011, Budget Committee member 2005-2006

As Nominations Chair for the Wilton Democratic Town Committee, I focused on a town-wide outreach to identify qualified members of the community who would use their skills to serve our community on various town boards and commissions. I know our town runs on volunteers doing what is RIGHT for our community.

I earned my B.A. from Carleton College, and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. Born and raised in Minnesota, my commitment to community outreach formed from an early age as part of the small Greek Orthodox community in Saint Paul, through annual Greek Festivals and the famed multicultural Festival of Nations. I moved from New York City to Wilton in 2004 where my husband, Craig, and I raised two children. I currently have a daughter pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University and a son majoring in physics at Carnegie Mellon University. Both of my children are graduates of the Wilton Public Schools.
