Karen Birck and Barbara Myers are two extraordinary community leaders seeking re-election to Wilton’s Board of Education.

Karen Birck has served on the Board since 2004, and as its Chair for the last three years. Before joining the Board, Karen was actively involved in the schools since first moving to Wilton 18 years ago.

As co-chair of the WHS Building Renovation Committee, Karen has helped to guide this project, successfully meeting its aggressive timetable. Karen Birck has earned a second four-year term on the Board.

Barbara Myers seeks re-election to the Board of Education for two years to complete an unexpired term. Since moving to Wilton seven years ago, Barbara has been active in numerous organizations working with young people.

She has been a Director of A Better Chance of Wilton, and its president from 2006-2009, helping young men graduate from WHS to attend four-year colleges, and initiating a program for young women.

Wilton is fortunate to have such caring public servants as Barbara Myers and Karen Birck. They believe in the importance of quality education, not only in the lives of students but for the entire community.

They deserve our votes of support, recognition and appreciation.
