The recent bill to put early voting on the ballot failed because four CT Senate Republicans chose party over democracy, and now early voting can't come up in CT's Legislature until 2021. This is a rundown of all the steps necessary.

Connecticut is one of only 11 states nationwide that does not allow some form of early voting. Early voting is a particularly crucial option for voters who are vulnerable to disenfranchisement because of physical disabilities, lack of transportation, lack of childcare, long lines at their polling places, or unpredictable work schedules.
