Gretchen Jeanes

As a member of the BOE, I will work to improve our already strong public schools through the study and adoption of technology, programs and policies that have proved successful elsewhere in the country, a practice I’ve used often as a consultant.  I will reach out to parents and be a sounding board for teachers, who, I believe, are our most important asset, and the key to moving our schools ahead. Drawing upon my management and volunteer experiences, I am determined to make Wilton schools even more competitive, and fiscally efficient, than they are today.

Gretchen Jeanes is a consultant in corporate design and construction, currently for Bright Power in NYC.  She is also a William Raveis real estate agent in town. Gretchen has two girls in the Wilton Public Schools, in the 4th and 6th grades, and serves on the Miller-Driscoll Building Committee. She sits on the PTA Executive Board.

Gretchen’s goal is to help the BOE continue moving the Wilton Public School system to the next level, through technology and adopting new programs. She believes, through studying and implementing policies and procedures that have worked well in other states and other school districts we can keep Wilton Public Schools competitive for years to come, while maintaining a level budget”.

As a member of the BOE Gretchen would like to be a point of contact for the students through their parents as well as be a sounding board for the teachers. She feels teachers are the most important asset for our children and the school district. Gretchen believes, through open communication with the BOE, it will help foster strong ties with the public and the school administration.
